After years of creating clothing lines with Nike and HSN, Serena Williams is finally giving the world a taste of her own creative vision—and including important messages in the mix. The tennis superstar is launching her first fashion collection, ‘Serena’, a direct-to-consumer line that debuted today.

The ‘Serena’ collection consists of key pieces athletic wear, dresses, boardroom blazers, suit jackets with padded shoulders, and high-waisted denim. The most important aspect of the line is what it represents: self-love and confidence to all girls rocking the apparel. “The customer is a girl or a woman who believes in herself, or wants to believe in herself; maybe she’s feeling unconfident that day,” Serena told WWD.

The 36-year-old has been working on this project for two years but delayed the production due to the birth of her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, in September 2017 and subsequent marriage to Alexis Ohanian. The line will be sold exclusively on her own website and the apparel ranges in price from $35-$250.
