Set Your Alarm Clocks, The Supreme Fall/Winter 2021 Drop Is Upon Us

The New York native label premieres their upcoming drop

If you thought the collaboration with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority subway was out of this world, wait till you see the fresh threads Supreme came up with for their Fall/Winter 2021 drop. The famous lookbook that just came out, featuring must-have pieces for the colder months, is a cue for all Supreme fanatics and resellers to prepare for the upcoming stressful Thursdays.

The collection comprises several categories: jackets, sweats and shirts, tops and tees, pants, beanies and hats, bags, and accessories. Revealing a range of their staple gore tex and windstopper pieces styled on models Sage Elsesser and Mathias Sauvageon, the collection is ruled by a mish mash of patterns, prints, and patchwork (which is a common thread seen in Supreme’s previous fall collections).

This collection highlights a series of apparel in collaboration with the New York Yankees complete with 700-fill gore-tex jackets. Taking on inspiration from the art world, many pieces feature different artists’ creations on them. Soccer jerseys are turned into works of art by artist Tadanori Yokoo and STASH handstyle marked Varsity Jacket, Ripstop Nylon Jacket and Pants. Ceramic trays, a sweatshirt, sweatpants, a knit top, and a 5-panel hat features artwork by Lady Pink, and Christopher Wool’s artwork on a work jacket, a pair of pants and a variety of shirts.

Following tradition, Supreme every year chooses one legendary pop culture icon that gets immortalized on the brand’s signature photo tee. This year, the one and only Rick Rubin gets to wear the honorary crown; Rubin is an 8 time Grammy award-winning producer who has worked with everyone from Run-DMC, Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, to the infamous Kanye West. The producer joins the legendary list of people who have been featured on the photo tee, such as Kate Moss and Nas.

Supreme always expresses their imagination through inspiration from different mediums. FW21 looks to the music industry not only with honoring Rubin, but also by celebrating Nas and the late DMX with a gore-tex shell jacket and a jacquard graphic of John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme” featured on a Denim Jacket and Jeans.

The FW21 wouldn’t be complete without featuring a wide range of accessories with (yes you guessed it) Supreme’s logo on everything. A full set of dub spinner rims, a Hästens Mattress which reimagines the brand’s signature plaid print, Skittles packets in Original and Wild Berry, STANLEY Sharptooth Saw, and a duraflame firelog. You name it, Supreme has put their logo stamp on it.

The rumors are true, the Nike X Supreme Air Force 1s will be a part of the drop. Serving as a follow-up to last year’s black and white colorways, the “wheat” colorway is a new addition which has a long history with New Yorker sneakerheads.

Supreme’s FW21 collection will see its regular weekly releases, starting with its first drop arriving on August 19, and in Japan on August 21. Don’t sleep on this launch, go in-person to Supreme stores or on Supreme.com , but be prepared for everything to sell out within seconds.
