Shawn Stussy x Kim Jones Dior Men’s 2020 Collab is Now Online
’60s surf vibes meet couture.
Dior pays respect to a streetwear originator for the Men’s Pre-Fall 2020 collection. Californian designer, Shawn Stüssy came out of retirement to collaborate with the French luxury brand to create a collection inspired by psychedelia and ‘60s surf steeze.
Last year the collection was first previewed during a runway show in Miami. It was the first time that Stüssy had worked in the fashion world after departing from his brand in 1996. The return marks his debut as an artist after being nearly absent for over 20 years.
Shot by Steven Meisel, the ‘60s Miami-inspired campaign features Stüssy’s iconic, wavy typography, floral graphics, and skull motifs—surf vibes meet couture. The collection includes, bucket hats, berets, saddle bags and ties, adorned with “DIOR WORLDWIDE.”
