A new chapter begins at Jil Sander today, March 10th, 2025, as Simone Bellotti steps into the role of Creative Director, hauling alongside him legacy, modernization, and artistic depth.

Bellotti, recognized for his refined artistic taste and meticulous attention to the most minuscule details, joins the house after a celebrated tenure at Bally. His twenty-year career has watched him mold the creative landscapes of Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, and Gianfranco Ferre, blending archival devotion with nontraditional design thinking. Raised in Milan before submerging himself in Antwerp’s avant-garde scene, Bellotti’s influences are as visceral and affluent as they are divergent. Drawing inspiration from the necessities of life, art, photography, and music to conceive collections that resonate beyond fashion.

Jil Sander, a house synonymous with minimalism, precision, and modern refinement, finds a visionary attuned to its DNA in Bellotti while eager to reformulate its future. Renzo Rosso, Chairman of OTB Group, expressed confidence in his leadership, intensifying their shared vision for innovation.

Bellotti himself calls the appointment an “honor,” acknowledging Jil Sander’s enduring influence on the design world. “I am incredibly honored to join Jil Sander, a storied house that created a new aesthetic with its unique approach and strong identity and that has always had such a significant influence on the design community. I am grateful to Renzo for the trust, and I am keen to contribute to the house’s full potential.”

As fashion anticipates Bellotti’s first collection, one thing is certain—Jil Sander’s next chapter is poised to be one of evolution, elegance, and artistic reinvention.
