‘Snoopy in Style’ Exhibition Charts Enduring Influence of Peanuts in Fashion

The exhibition features custom-made pieces for Snoopy and Woodstock by New York designers Willy Chavarria, Christopher John Rogers, Area, Coach, Tory Burch, Bode, and so many more

It is shaping up to be an exciting few weeks in New York City, with the U.S. Open well underway and New York Fashion Week beginning to peek its head up for style aficionados in the city. But be sure to clear the runway: the Peanuts gang is making an impromptu appearance. Snoopy in Style, an exhibition celebrating the fashion and culture of Peanuts, has just arrived in Manhattan’s Meatpacking neighborhood.

Curated by the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, the collection will include one-of-a-kind Snoopy and Woodstock plush dolls wearing custom designer creations, an exclusive gift shop and rare archival pieces from the mind of Schulz, also known as Sparky, that have had a profound impact on not only pop culture, but fashion, design, sports, music and art.

“Sparky understood that characters, like people, had a distinct sense of style,” said Jean Schulz, the widow of Charles Schulz and president of the BOD at the museum. “When you saw that style, you would understand something deeper about them. Sparky himself appreciated people’s personal style.”

Following its appearance in 1990 at the Louvre in Paris and featured designs from Chanel, Hermès, Dior, Armani, and Givenchy, the exhibition is coming to New York’s Meatpacking District with plenty of brands pitching in for Snoopy and Woodstock.

As New York falls in love with Snoopy in Style, visitors will see a variety of brands who have designed custom-made pieces for Snoopy and Woodstock plush dolls, including adidas, American Eagle, AREA, ASHLYN, BODE, Chinatown Market, Christopher John Rogers, Coach, Collina Strada, GAPStudio designed by Zac Posen, Gloria Steinem | Gloria’s Foundation, Gelato Pique, Hotel Olympia, Jeff Hamilton, Kith, Levi’s®, LUAR, L/UNIFORM, Madhappy, Michael Kors Collection, New York or Nowhere, Omega, Public School New York, Sandy Liang, STAPLE, Tanner Fletcher, threeASFOUR, Tommy Hilfiger, Tory Burch, Willy Chavarria and ZANKOV.

It is completely on brand for Peanuts to embrace fashion, as the comics have created some of the most iconic and recognizable symbols in fashion. Whether it’s Charlie Brown’s yellow zigzag shirt or Lucy and Sally’s ever evolving wardrobes, when you think of a Peanuts character, you know their face and what they are wearing. All these symbols and more will be at the Snoopy in Style exhibition.

The Snoopy In Style exhibition is now open today until September 26, 2026.
