Solange Knowles Performed At Kenzo SS20
Humberto Leon and Carol Lim presented their final designs for Kenzo in their aquatic-inspired SS20 Collection.
Kenzo SS20 brought Paris Fashion Week to a close with a nautical-inspired collection designed by Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. Drawing inspiration from female Japanese free divers, the designers showcased an aquatic-inspired collection as their final designs for the fashion house.
The Kenzo SS20 collection displayed a variety of diving inspired garments. Striking textured dresses, skirts and tops had the illusion of rippling water, while neoprene suits remained a more literal addition to the display. A variety of oceanic detailing extended across the collection, most notably the sea urchin and shell-inspired sequins. Models displayed fishnet arm accessories and necklaces which dripped in pearls.
Solange Knowles composed the musical score for the womenswear segment of the show and gave a live performance as a closing. Dressed in Kenzo, the singer performed “I’m A Witness” from her most recent album, When I Get Home, as a farewell to Kenzo designers, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, and their final collection for Kenzo.
