The popular ‘90s sitcom, The Nanny, is seeing a resurgence following its streaming debut on HBO Max this summer. But what’s really catching viewers’ eyes are the Nanny’s outfits herself. 

Fran Fine was, and always will be, an icon. Her outfits perfectly capture a lot of the nostalgia generated in the fashion industry, with nods to the ‘50s and ‘60s. 

Looking back on her outfits, we see a lot of those styles coming back today – and it’s no wonder. There’s something so timeless and stylish about Fran’s wardrobe, we just can’t get enough.

Here are some of our picks for Fran’s best outfits:

A vintage dream: ’60s inspired orange floral top and matching skirt. The white headband and bumped hair tie it all together.

A leopard print Cache vest over an all black outfit is exactly the statement piece we all need in our wardrobes.

This red and black wavy Tempo Paris dress layered over the black turtleneck. Brenda Cooper, the costume designer, told Variety that the mini dresses over turtlenecks and opaque tights was Fran’s look from the beginning. And it becomes pretty clear, since she wears them A LOT (and rocks them).

This is one of Fran’s most iconic outfits, with bright colors and the contrast between the bright red turtleneck and the Moschino checkered black and white skirt. Such a sleek and chic look.

Who else could pull off an oversized fur cut, with white jean shorts and a white turtleneck underneath? Somehow, she makes this monochromatic look WORK.

This colorful Betsey Johnson outfit. Very neon, very fun.

You just can’t go wrong with a little black dress. This one, from Hervé Léger paired with the heart-shaped Moschino purse takes the simple LBD to a whole other level.

This Jennifer Bawden two-piece set is colorful and classy, I’m obsessed.

And this colorful Ralph Lauren sequinned top – which was cropped for Fran, of course.
