The Fall/Winter 2021 film from luxury fashion house Kenzo is almost here. The film, titled “Kenzo Always,” premieres this Friday, March 26th, at 9 AM ET, and you can stream it right here—just play the video above at the slated start time.
The film is helmed by Kenzo creative director Felipe Oliveira Baptista. It comes a little over a year since the release of Baptista’s debut collection for Kenzo, a print-heavy extravaganza hailed as the beginning of a bold new chapter for the brand. Baptista took over the reins from Opening Ceremony co-founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, ending the duo’s eight-year run.
The Azores-born creative has described his artistic endeavors with the brand as a dialogue between his history and that of founder Kenzo Takada. While he has conserved iconic elements of the Kenzo brand like the recognizable tiger motif, he has also made changes: early on, Baptista removed “Paris” from the Kenzo logo in an effort to reclaim a more global feel.
The film’s release coincides with the release of an exclusive song, “planningtoKENZO,” crafted by English electronic musician Planningtorock. The song comes after a playlist curated by Baptista, which premiered on Kenzo’s Spotify. The Kenzo Always playlist is available to stream here.
