Stussy x Dries Van Noten: An Eclectic Approach to Streetwear

The two intangible labels welcome Red Hot Chilis bassist Flea to unify the brands in a single aesthetic expression

Following their successful Spring Summer 2023 debut at Paris Fashion Week, the house of Dries Van Noten takes their venture into technicolor prints one step further, welcoming Stussy for an unforeseen collaboration. Refined, renewed, and imbued with possibility, Stussy warps their ideology of casual wear for the first time since the 80s. Born during an era of significant cultural exchange and youth inspiration, the Southern California brand is now signified as one of streetwear cult identities.

Shot through the lens of Tyrone Lebon, the collection summons Flea, founding member and bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, to the forefront. Known for his enigmatic tastes and inimitable spirit, Flea unifies the two brands in a single aesthetic expression. Through merging Stussy’s Cali’s laidback style with Dries Van Noten’s eclectic use of prints and patterns, the collaboration gestures to a somewhat luxe-streetwear – from co-branded tie-dye t-shirts, sweatpants, and sweatshirts to color-rich parkas, camp shirts, loose-fitting printed jeans, and a rhinestone smoking blazer and pants.

The Stüssy and Dries Van Noten collaboration is available worldwide at select chapter stores, select Dover Street Market locations, the Dries Van Noten stores, on Stussy and Dries Van Noten on Friday, November 18th.
