In honor of  Christy Turlington Burns’ Every Mother Counts organization’s 10th-anniversary helping mothers deliver their children safely worldwide, V would like to salute the long-standing V model, supermodel icon, and philanthropist. As one of the first to connect visibility to a cause, being beautiful wasn’t enough for Christy—instilling change for the greater good superseded. She now spearheads her organization fulltime since it was founded in 2010, to carry out its mission to “make pregnancy and childbirth safe everywhere,” after almost life-threatening complications wit having her daughter Grace in 2003. In celebration of the 10 year anniversary, they are hosting a series of virtual events—including a virtual race happening at Big Sur tomorrow—that all can take part in.
