Supergreat is Hiring Beauty Freelancers During Social Isolation

Supergreat is supporting freelance makeup artists, manicurists, hair stylists, and estheticians by starting a virtual tutorial series titled “Super Skills.”

Supergreat is a digital platform consisting of beauty lovers who review new products, sharing with the world what works for them to help sort through the immense amount of beauty products out there. But as the beauty industry suffers from COVID-19 closures, Supergreat has begun supporting freelance makeup artists, manicurists, hairstylists, and estheticians by starting a virtual tutorial series titled “Super Skills.”

The freelancers hired to give tutorials via the Supergreat app get paid their normal daily rate— makeup artist Jaleesa Jaikaran and Narina Chan of New York’s Lucia Nails have already joined in. Jaikaran showed the Supergreat community how to do a rainbow eyelid look, while Chan exampled cloudy sky nails.

“We know that this is only a drop in the ocean, but to many, this gig will help keep them afloat a little longer, and hopefully incite others to help support their favorite freelance artists,” Supergreat said. “Every tutorial comes with a call to action to recreate the look demonstrated for a chance to win 200 Supercoins on the app.”

In the coming weeks, Fatimot IsadareShennel PatrickKarl T. Payton, and Jenny Smith will also give their beauty expertise, with many more to come as Supergreat hopes to continue supporting freelance beauty professionals through this crisis and beyond.
