Through the lens of the sense-enriching phenomenon of synaesthesia, creative director Pharrell Williams takes the musical notes he sees in colors to paint the latest Louis Vuitton collection with vibrant gradients.

The mid-season capsule from iconic French fashion house is inspired by music but manifests in the form of preppy co-ords and streetwear ensembles. The Flower Monogram adorns a collarless jacket but is striped in an ombré rainbow pattern all over the piece. The wide variety of light jackets makes the latest capsule an excellent transitional line from winter to spring.

It wouldn’t be a collection of Louis Vuitton menswear without the Damier pattern. In this installment, it is reimagined in a silky but sporty co-ord set. In a more subtle instance, the Damier pattern is subtly placed on the sleeves of a camel bomber jacket.

Williams spared no expense in matching the accessories to his synaesthesia. Using a neutral base for most of the bags in the line, each item has a dash of color sprinkled throughout as a representation of the colors he sees through music. Furthermore, the colorful nature of the collection feels like a perfect parallel to the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami collaboration that was recently revived in a Zendaya-led campaign.
