Last week, to celebrate her upcoming debut album, neo-soul songstress Kelsey Lu put on a special one-off show in Los Angeles entitled Propagate in partnership with Red Bull Music. The artist transformed a historic house in the Hollywood Hills, designed by famed architect Paul Williams, into her own multi-dimensional performance space that paid homage to her roots in various aspects. Church pews were used as seating for the guests, while the common areas of the house was covered in AstroTurf, a nod to her father's Nigerian heritage.

And not one to leave an event like this without an empowering message, Lu enlisted a powerful group of women in art to help her conceptualize the performance. The show was styled by Mindy Le Brock with hair and makeup by Ladysoulfly, and in a sentimental notion, the music direction was handled by Lu's sister, Jessica McJunkins. Lu performed an array of music from her debut album, including her latest emotional single, "Shades of Blue", and the live debut of songs that haven't been released just yet. Take an exclusive peek at the show, as well as a sleek behind-the-scenes glimpse, below.
