Tancredi Vitale Appointed VP Gucci Racing

Beginning in September, Vitale will step up as Gucci Racing’s vice president after years of leadership experience
Tancredi Vitale has been named vice president of Gucci Racing effective Sept. 1.
Vitale served as managing director for Venezia Football Club, an Italian soccer team, before coming to Gucci. He’s also worked in a variety of leadership roles throughout his career including time spent at Kappa, Adidas Y-3 with Yohji Yamamoto, Jordan and over 13 years at Nike headquarters in Portland.

Vitale will work alongside Giovanni Perosino, Senior Vice President of Gucci Racing and marketing, the main lead behind the Gucci Racing initiative.
Gucci Racing has been marketed as “a crossroads between luxury, sport and culture” for one of the most iconic Italian luxury companies. Gucci Racing announced its first partnership earlier this year in May 2026 with the Alpine Formula One Team. The initiative is also planning an expansion into other sports, such as tennis, winter sports and equestrianism.
In addition to working with Formula One, Gucci Racing hopes to engage new audiences, strengthen the brand’s global relevance, grow the business across sports territories and enhance client engagement and experiences. The goal is for Vitale to realize Gucci Racing’s potential and fully develop the brand.
In a press release, the maison, part of the Kering Group, raved about Gucci Racing’s next vice president, stating, “Vitale’s international experience, strategic vision, and deep knowledge of the sports industry will be instrumental in developing this new business area and in fully realising the potential of Gucci Racing as a global platform.”
