Tel Aviv’s Noga Erez Releases Alt Version of “VIEWS”

Backed by a 6 piece band, the indie/pop artist stripped down her latest single.

Noga Erez is one of Israel’s breakout indie stars, but the music she creates with partner and co-writer Ori Rousso, who’s also a composer and producer, relies on elements of electronic and pop joined by novel beats and heavy synth. Erez’s idiosyncrasy and straddle of genres is reaffirmed with an alternative version of her latest single “VIEWS” released earlier this week. A 6 piece band joins Erez and Rousso to strip back the original recording of the single, earning it the new title of “Kids Against The Machine Vol. 1.”

“The question was asked: can we make this song work without any ‘machines’ backing it up?,” Erez said in an Instagram post promoting the new version, where she asked audiences to be the judge of that question.

The video for the alternative rendition sees all the moving parts of the band, while members are dressed to compliment both each other and the music. Groovy, cream colored satin blouses worn by the backing vocalists  goes to praise the hints of burnt orange on Erez and Rousso’s get ups. Most notably, seeing the band produce the song without any ‘machines’ is refreshing, ultimately proving Erez’s range.
