The CFDA has Announced the Official Schedule for NYFW and Innovative Business tool, RUNWAY 360

CFDA’s has a new centralized hub, RUNWAY360 will digitally present brands’ collections for this year’s NYFW showcase.

Appointed organizers of the Council of Fashion Designers for America (CFDA) have announced the official lineup for their showcase, as well as the designers and brands set to reveal their collections throughout the 3-day event, taking place September 13-16th.

This pleasing announcement not only reflects the noticeable strides the American fashion industry has made since taking a devastating hit during the Covid-19 pandemic but, shows the intentionality of the CFDA, who has listened closely to concerns as to how the slowing down of supply chains, as well as how the temporary shutdown of business operations has affected many.

Their intent to protect creatives, if something like this should ever happen again, comes in the form of an innovative digital platform, called RUNWAY360. The ongoing business tool, not limited to just this year’s digital presentations, but will be a stable resource for brands to lean on throughout the year and eventually use to compliment physical shows in the future. The main features RUNWAY360 provides is the exposure desperately needed, the individualized flexibility designers desire, and the engagement from the press, consumer, and retailers — without the limitations of restricted travel.

Jason Wu and Harlem’s Fashion Row’s virtual fashion experience will kick off the celebration and the RUNWAY360 premiere on Sunday, September 13th, with Tom Ford closing the event on Wednesday, September 16th. Returning designers include Alice and Oliva, LaQuan Smith, and Veronica Breard to name a few, while fifteen new names appear on the coveted schedule.
