From runways to streetstyle, Copenhagen Fashion Week seems to induce more excitement each season. It has become known for presenting exciting collections and spotting new designers. Last season brought avant-garde, forward-thinking looks—and epic style inspiration could be seen by strolling through the Nordic capital. So you can imagine our excitement to see the lineup for AW26.

The upcoming season marks Copenhagen Fashion Week’s 20-year anniversary, and record numbers of attendees are expected for both editions in January and August. The opening of the AW26 season will be held on January 26 with a schedule from January 27-29. The lineup features the most celebrated Nordic brands alongside other globally embraced designers.

After showing multiple seasons abroad, Holzweiler returns to the CPHFW schedule. Taus, Sson and Studio Constance will receive special recognition this season through “One to Watch” awards. New talent includes Stem, Bonnetje and Anne Sofie Madsen.

The AW26 season implements an update to the fashion week’s sustainability requirements. These were implemented the past two seasons and for AW26, all participating designers have met the requirement’s new mandatory standards. According to Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week, they “introduced the Sustainability Requirements to actively push the industry forward.”

On the two-decade anniversary, Thorsmark shares that “celebrating 20 years is not only about looking back at how far we’ve come, but about reflecting on the role Copenhagen Fashion Week can continue to play in shaping the future of fashion.”
