Damiano David, enlisted as Diesel’s first-ever global ambassador, accomplishes a new first: co-creating a collection for the brand. Alongside Creative Director Glenn Martens, David co-designed the exclusive capsule collection inspired by the musician’s electric personal style and dissident spirit. 

Damiano David is an Italian singer-songwriter who grew to infamy as the lead vocalist of rock band Måneskin. He recently released his debut single, ‘Silverlines’, produced by Labrinth. The eerily uplifting track is a fusion of cinematography and music, and marks the beginning of David’s takeoff as a solo artist. His sharp and magnetic energy, along with his rejections of traditional masculinity, have shaped him into the archetype of the Diesel man.

The exclusive collection is an amalgam of David’s offbeat personal style, a glamorously tailored range of geometric styles, and Diesel’s edgy, nonconformist spirit. Committed to the tenets of self-expression, the unisex line preaches aesthetic freedom: wear the clothes, don’t let the clothes wear you. Composed of key runway looks reinvented in exaggerated proportions, the capsule marries the brand’s signature styles with David’s distinctive glam rock look. 

Tattered burnout jersey tops are coupled with ultrawide-leg drawstring pants emblazoned with the word “Damiano” in the signature Diesel font. Oversized coated wool suiting and knitwear refer to David’s vintage-loving tones, while sweeping capes imbue a sense of godliness. Denim is stretched to new limits, replacing the straight-leg with exaggerated cargo pants and maxi skirts. Oversized suits receive the peel-off treatment, and raw edges decorate a variety of cuts. In a gesture of exclusive intimacy, the most personal pieces feature prints and patchworks identical to David’s own tattoos. 

A natural extension of David’s personal philosophy, the Diesel x Damiano capsule collection celebrates individuality in an unapologetic range of clothing that demands to be registered.
