This labor of love also extends to Rachael’s non-profit organization, Style Saves, where the duo have frequently collaborated to support Miami’s underprivileged youth for special events such as prom and graduation.

In honor of Saint Valentine’s, the business savvy couple has shared their tips for navigating the workplace with your significant other.

Do’s

Make the bedroom a work-free zone, there’s nothing worse than going to bed listening to your partner on heated conference calls at 1am

Give yourself a good work/life balance by taking breaks throughout the day, either together or alone, go for a walk, have sex, make lunch together, schedule date night

Have separate workspaces, sometimes schedules can overlap and you don’t want to be talking over each other while on a call.

Establish boundaries and set work time vs home time, when dinner is on the table the computers are off of it.

Don’ts

Combine spaces; set up a workspace on top of each other, working next to each other can get old and cluttered real fast.

Work throughout the day without taking a break, thus causing pent up frustration and energy that can boil over into home life.

Demand your partner’s attention before checking in with them to see if they have availability, we all know how annoying it can be when your partner walks into a room already talking about something while you’re in the middle of something.

Let stress from work carry into home and personal moments, find time to differentiate time in order to create work/home life balance.
