Rather than expanding an existing empire or following the model of established conglomerates, Edward and Akua Enninful have chosen to start fresh. Their new company, EE72, introduces itself with two intertwined projects: a quarterly publication and a digital platform designed to test how audiences want to consume culture today.

“When we founded our company, we knew we wanted EE72 to be built as a platform first, with the magazine as its cornerstone,” the Enninfuls explain. The choice to begin with a print magazine, even as much of the industry shifts away from it, highlights a willingness to test whether tradition can coexist with the pace of digital media.

Edward Enninful, former editor-in-chief of British Vogue and European editorial director of Vogue, brings a track record of reshaping how media approached representation and inclusivity. Now serving as Chief Creative Officer, he calls the launch both a continuation of that mission and a break from the cycles of legacy publishing, “celebrating those who’ve shaped our creative industries while elevating the next generation of talent.”

Alongside him, Akua Enninful provides the structure as CEO, presenting the company not just as a media brand but as an engine for cultural exchange with a vision “anchored in empathy and innovation, fostering meaningful connections across communities and cultures.” Supporting their leadership are Sarah Harris, Editorial Director, and Simone Oliver, Head of Content, who together shape the editorial direction across both print and digital.
