To celebrate the upcoming Year of the Dragon, Fendi collaborated with Hiroshima Fujiwara’s Fragment for a special collection with Pokémon. Kim Jones and Silvia Fendi continue their “Friends of FENDI” series that spans across a diverse range of projects and collections, now with an exciting project with Fragment and Pokémon.
FENDI’s monogram is reinterpreted with Hiroshi’s FRGMT signature on the iconic FF jacquard logo in its institutional brown and tobacco shade with an unexpected bold yellow version. In FENDI x FRGMT x POKÉMON, Fendi’s usual icons meet Pokémon, more specifically, their renowned Dragon-type Pokémon. From inlays and prints on FF jacquard and FF canvas backings to the full-blown leather 3D marquetry embodiment of Dragonite and Dratini, the Pokémon is spread across the Italian house’s best offerings of the season by their expert leather artisans requiring more than 30 hours of manual workshop.
The collaboration also includes an exciting partnership with Pokémon Go, the mobile game sensation from Niantic where Trainers will be able to enjoy designs from the FENDI x FRGMT x POKÉMON items.
The FENDI x FRGMT and FENDI x FRGMT x POKÉMON collections will be available in selected FENDI boutiques worldwide and on fendi.com starting from January 4th 2024.
