Originally launched in 1999, the PUMA Speedcat was reintroduced last summer and quickly heralded as fashion’s new It-sneaker. With a new dual campaign starring global superstars Dua Lipa and Rosé, the PUMA Speedcat intends on making a grand return for the Las Vegas Grand Prix to connect with the brand’s motorsport roots.
In fact, the Speedcat’s original design was inspired by the fireproof racing footwear worn by Grand Prix drivers through the ’80s and ’90s. The performance racing-inspired silhouette has undergone countless evolutions since its initial release, being constantly redefined for each new generation.
In the latest campaign, both Rosé and Dua Lipa are seen taking on the open road. Global K-pop sensation Rosé wears a sleek silver racing jacket and the “Black” PUMA Speedcat, embracing her road trip adventure in effortlessly bold style.
Dua Lipa’s Speedcat adventure begins under the night sky, amid a vast desert. Laced up in the iconic “Red” Speedcat and donning all-black PUMA racing inspired-gear, the images of Dua Lipa reflect a spirit of freedom and bold self-expression.
Starting November 26, the PUMA Speedcat will be available in classic “Red” and “Black,” alongside a brand new “Pink Blush” edition. Shoppers can find it on PUMA.com, the PUMA mobile app, the NYC and Las Vegas flagship stores, and at select PUMA retailers worldwide.
