The Internet Reacts To Lady Gaga and Adam Driver’s Gucci Transformation

The singer shared a photo of the duo’s looks for the upcoming film “House of Gucci.”

Who knew an innocent behind-the-scenes picture could nearly break the internet? On Tuesday, Lady Gaga took to social media and surprised fans by dropping a first-look photo of her alongside Adam Driver as onscreen couple Patrizia Reggiani and Maurizio Gucci, respectively, for the upcoming Ridley Scott film House of Gucci

“Signore e Signora Gucci,” the singer wrote on Twitter and Instagram to caption the glamorous image of the duo posing in après ski clothes, with Gaga dressed in an all-black ensemble with a white fur hat and gold jewelry and Driver sporting a cable knit turtleneck sweater and oversized glasses.

House of Gucci is based on the book by the same name by Sara Gay Forden, which chronicles the real-life murder of Maurizio Gucci, the grandson of the Italian label founder Guccio Gucci, and the subsequent sensational public trial of his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani. Gucci was shot in Milan in 1995, and Reggiani was sentenced to 29 years in prison for her alleged orchestration of the killing.

The movie, which is set to premiere in November, is currently being filmed in Italy and will also star Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, and Gucci ambassador Jared Leto. This marks Gaga’s first major role since her Oscar-nominated turn in 2018’s A Star Is Born, for which she won an Academy Award for best original song.
