Ever since the announcement last year that fashion trailblazer and music icon Pharrell Williams would be taking the reins as Louis Vuitton’s new menswear creative director, the fashion industry had eagerly anticipated the debut of his inaugural collection.
To celebrate the release, Louis Vuitton opened pop-up spaces in Soho and West Hollywood dedicated to the Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, the first collection designed by Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams. The spaces will offer the complete cosmos of items from the collection, including accessories, jewelry, leather goods, luggage, ready-to-wear, shoes, and trunks.

Williams’s collection found influence from the sun describing it as a “a universal source of life: a radiance that energizes, heals and unifies humans across cultures and creeds,” in the SS24 collection notes. While the central theme revolved around the sun, the predominant hues focused on earth tones, conveying the essence of life’s primal source.

Although the collection seemed to capture life on Earth, the twin pop-ups in Soho and West Hollywood distinctly depicted radiant rays of the sun. Adorned in shimmering gold, eyes are drawn to the molding inspired by the storied bridge, Pont Neuf, in which the collection was shown. A gold checkered floor and walls nod to the Maison’s Damier pattern motif, which was embraced throughout the SS24 collection.

The opening of the pop-ups attracted many big names to celebrate the release, such as Saltburn-star Barry Keoghan, Dylan Sprouse, Jaden Smith, and Drew Starkey.
