The Last “Versace Obsessed” Campaign Before the Pieter Mulier Era

The house’s Fall Winter 2026 campaign revisits its most enduring images and codes on the eve of a new creative era
Versace has unveiled Versace Obsessed, Chapter II, the campaign for its Fall/Winter 2026 collection and the final one produced before Pieter Mulier took creative control on July 1. Photographed by Steven Meisel, who has worked with the house since the 1990s, the campaign places its cast in interiors filled with references to Versace’s past.
The sets bring together fashion magazines from the 1990s and 2000s featuring Steven Meisel’s earlier work for the house, alongside previously unseen objects and rare editions of Vanitas, the publication closely connected to Gianni Versace’s early creative universe. These materials create a visual dialogue between different periods in the brand’s history. They evoke the glamour, confidence, and image-making that defined Versace’s rise, while also revealing the cultural references and printed matter that helped shape its identity.

Against this richly layered backdrop, the collection returns to some of the house’s most recognizable codes. The Medusa head and Greca border appear alongside supple leather, flashes of gold, precise tailoring, and elaborate decorative details.
Ferdinando Verderi directed the campaign and its accompanying films, working with Karl Templer on styling, Pat McGrath on makeup, Guido Palau on hair, and Jin Soon Choi on nails. Jeremy Hall served as cinematographer, while Mary Howard designed the archival-inspired sets and Julia Lange led the casting. The campaign stars Saar Mansvelt Beck, Alaina Rae, Elodie Guipaud, Bai Ruien, and Wiley Rhoads, whose individual presences bring a contemporary energy to the house’s established visual language.
