adidas and Prada come together once again to revive their ongoing partnership. Up until this point, the two brands manifested their collaboration through a specific perspective as Prada brought its distinct lens to adidas, reinterpreting the Superstar sneaker with expert craftsmanship. Now, it is adidas’ turn to bring its expertise to Prada, creating the forward-thinking A+P LUNA ROSSA 21 silhouette for the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team.

Crafted for the sport of sailing, the A+P LUNA ROSSA 21 is inspired by the design of the new AC75 Luna Rossa boat, as well as the iconic Prada and adidas sneaker styles from the past. Designed to act as an extension of the athlete’s body, its sleek, lightweight silhouette is matched with unrivaled flexible barefoot stability. The shoe will come in two iterations: a performance-focused version to be worn in competition by the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team and a lifestyle version that will be available via Prada boutiques and adidas flagship stores worldwide and select retailers worldwide starting December 9, 2020.

Expressing the dedication both adidas and Prada have to innovation and sustainability, the A+P LUNA ROSSA 21 serves as a collaborative step toward both brands’ commitments for the environment. The upper is composed of PRIMEGREEN — a series of high-performance recycled materials, complemented by a hydrophobic E-TPU outer shell that provides flexible, breathable support and prevents water from penetrating the shoe. The sneaker also features an ergonomically-designed EVA tongue, alongside a perforated, soft, synthetic suede inner saddle that accentuates its sailing performance capabilities. Finally, the BOOST midsole and a wrap-around outsole provide elevated protection, durability, and freedom of movement, while the laces are crafted in such a way that prevents tied knots from coming open easily during competition. The A+P LUNA ROSSA 21 silhouette comes packaged in a sleek, co-branded box that slips inside of a custom water-resistant pouch-bag.
