The CW’s live rendition of the Powerpuff Girls has announced its leading ladies. Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron, and Yana Perrault are bringing the beloved cartoon characters to life.

Bennet will play Blossom, the trio’s fearless leader. The 28-year-old actress is best known for her starring role as Daisy Johnson in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The sweet, innocent Bubbles will be played by the equally adorable Cameron. After getting her start as a Disney star in Descendants and Liv and Maddie, Cameron has also been working on her music career.

To round out the trio, Perrault is set to play the rebellious Buttercup. This will be Perrault’s first onscreen role, as she previously performed in Broadway’s Alanis Morissette musical Jagged Little Pill.

In the live action series, the women will grapple with feelings of resentment after a childhood of saving the world, reports Variety. As twentysomethings, Blossom holds several advanced degrees, Bubbles seems more interested in fame than fighting crime, and Buttercup wants to move past her superhero days.
