For Spring-Summer 2025, the Maison introduces a new staple that blends athletic nostalgia with its signature craftsmanship. Released as part of the Avant-Première Collection, the silhouette is crafted from smooth calfskin, suede, vintage-treated nylon, and rubber. The hand-cut upper and deliberately distressed finish reference mid-century track shoes, each pair corroded by hand (even the campaign images have that retro feel).
Imagine more than one person wearing the same sneaker, but each one slightly different. Even in sameness, you get something that’s entirely your own. Honestly, it’s always Margiela making us feel unique. Now, the spiked rubber sole looks like performance gear, but with a twist.

The cleated gum outsole almost gets rid of the midsole entirely, giving it this super pared-back, almost barefoot feel. Then come the signature touches like the white stitch on the heel tab and the numeric tongue label. Available in both neutral and bold colors like lemon yellow, kiwi green, and ecru white, pulling inspiration from vintage sportswear and garden tones seen throughout the SS25 collection. However, there’s more coming, new shades like dark green, light blue, and oxblood will drop in July, adding to what’s already becoming a crowd favorite.
And remember, only Margiela could create a track shoe and turn it into a conversation piece.
