The Surf Lodge Hosted the Ultimate Party Weekend for Fourth of July
With appearances by Bella Thorne, Diplo, and The Chainsmokers, it was destined to be an event for the record books.
When one decides to venture out east for the fourth of July holiday weekend, it’s almost always guaranteed that at least one visit (or maybe even two, if you’re wild like that) to Montauk’s The Surf Lodge is on everyone’s agenda. The highly talked about party playground was at it again for a four-day fête of fashion partnerships, a multi-star musical lineup, and even a fireworks display to end off the weekend–and with the maestro of Montauk’s party scene, Jayma Cardoso, present on the property to help kick off the festivities in style, it was guaranteed to be a *moment*.
But where did all the happenings begin for the hotspot hotel? We first start off at a seated dinner to celebrate the arrival of Bloomingdales’ in-house line Aqua’s latest collection titled Studio 189 by designers Abrima Erwiah and Rosario Dawson. With the lineup’s concentration on the use of textiles that support the community of craftswomen in Ghana, it was a colorful array of coordinating separates and covetable accessories that filled the club’s shop shelves and crowds—complimented with the tunes of DJ twosome Bob Moses.
The next morning, the sandy beach grounds of the clubby hotel were bumping with heavy bass-laden beats, courtesy of Benin-born artist Amémé. A perfect kick-off before the pinnacle fourth of July performance of the weekend by musical duo The Chainsmokers, where there was lots of Brevity going around amongst the club’s tables where Trevor Noah, Bella Thorne, and Diplo could be spotted. “I can’t imagine a better way to celebrate the 4th of July than partnering with The Surf Lodge for this iconic moment,” says John O’Korn, CEO & Founder of Brevity when speaking about the exciting weekend finale performance. “Our members had the time of their lives and we’re excited to continue this great partnership with our NYE event at The Snow Lodge in Aspen.”
