The Trailer For Wes Anderson’s New Film Has Everyone Talking
After months of anticipation, Wes Anderson’s “The French Dispatch” finally has a trailer for the film coming this summer.
Inspired by the New Yorker, Wes Anderson tells the tale of a European publication in his new film The French Dispatch, due to hit the silver screen in July of this year. The trailer was released this morning, and the story, cast, and cinematography are as Andersonian as ever.
The preview of the film takes us through the publication’s memorial issue, where they decide to look back on their three best stories from the past ten years, including an artist sent to prison for life, student riots, and a chef who resolved a kidnapping.
“A love letter to journalists set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional 20th-century French city that brings to life a collection of stories published in ‘The French Dispatch’ magazine,” reads the film’s synopsis.
Anderson’s usual round-up of actors make an appearance in the trailer; Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Owen Wilson, Saoirse Ronan, Frances McDormand, Léa Seydoux, Adrien Brody, and Willem Dafoe. There’s also new names being added to the notorious list with Timothée Chalamet, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, and Elisabeth Moss.
