They say good things come to those who wait. In this case, six years to be exact. At last, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has returned, back and better than ever. With a global supermodel cast and a first-ever all-women musical lineup ー one never thought they’d cry at a VS fashion show until Cher graced the stage ー this year’s spectacle showcases the lingerie company’s newest pieces in five sultry acts: Modern Heritage, Twinkle, Heroes, Atelier and Unwrap the Magic.

With a six-year hiatus in its back pocket, Victoria’s Secret assembled an extraordinary troupe of models and talent for its reintroduction into the runway show sphere, piecing together a fabulous production in the process. For its first act, following a performance by K-Pop superstar Lalisa, Gigi Hadid emerged from the depths of the Brooklyn stadium’s bowels, pretty in pink, yet intimidatingly divine. And thus, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show commenced.

Classic fixtures of the Victoria’s Secret runway such as Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, and Jasmine Tookes, among other veterans, donned their wings for the brand’s resurrection, while Ashley Graham made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut in a black lace bodice and wings sprinkled with flowers. ’90s supermodel Kate Moss made a surprise appearance in a lace slip (following her daughter, Lila Moss’s VS runway debut), and Tyra Banks closed out the show in a triumph of struts and smizes.

Deviating from the past practice of a highly-edited, televised special, this year’s show took place entirely through live streams set up across the Victoria’s Secret social media platforms, including Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. Not only were viewers able to watch the show in real time, customers actually had the ability to shop in tandem with the looks they watched on the screen ー a ‘steal-her-style’ of epic proportions. Each runway look, along with links to the products, are now available on the VS website.

The reinvented VS runway, however, comes with a few notable changes, as the lucrative lingerie company works to reorient its trademark emblems of sex appeal. For its runway show homecoming, the brand reintroduced us to the VS of glamor, wings and musical entertainment, but it also unveiled its new mottos of inclusivity and diverse campaigning.

In the meantime, plunge teddys and satin corsets will continue being added to carts. Finally, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is back.
