The Weeknd Loses His Head For “Too Late” Music Video
…literally. The artist’s latest music video from his ‘After Hours’ album even comes with a parental advisory warning.
The Weeknd dropped the music video for his After Hours song “Too Late,” and things got a little…graphic, to say the least.
The music video continues the “In Your Eyes” video plotline furthering the saga’s cliffhanger of The Weeknd’s beheading—in “Too Late,” his head is found and revived by two women covered in plastic surgery bandages.
They bring his “perfect” head back to their mansion and just kind of creepily hang out with it in their glitz and glamour lifestyle for a bit before beheading a different guy so they can reattach The Weeknd’s head to it.
It looks like The Weeknd’s lyric “I never thought I’d be here without you” kind of takes on a different meaning when his head is without his body. But as usual, The Weeknd’s visuals only serve to amplify the powerful music he already puts out; this time, it’s just that his silky-smooth vocals and fresh, glittery flow is accompanied by a bit of gore.
