The Womack Sisters Star in Ferragamo’s Holiday Campaign

BG, Zeimani and Kucha Womack open up about their shoot with Ilya Lipkin and the art of working alongside your siblings

Few families carry a musical lineage quite like the one BG, Zeimani, and Kucha Womack were born into. As granddaughters of Sam Cooke and nieces of Bobby Womack, the sisters spent their early years on the road with their parents, Cecil and Linda Womack of Womack & Womack, singing in the family band alongside their four other siblings. Finding a voice of their own took time. At one point all three were working as rideshare drivers to keep their ambitions alive, an experience that became “Chauffeur,” the opening song on their self-titled debut album, released this August on Daptone Records and produced by Gabriel Roth.

Now the trio is part of the Ferragamo Holiday 2026 campaign, “The Joy of Loving.” Under creative director Maximilian Davis, the house cast real families instead of solo faces, with Kris Jenner playing an imagined film director whose screen tests introduce each pairing. Clara Cullen directed the film, while Ilya Lipkin shot the images with styling by Miyako Bellizzi. The sisters appear in navy with cream Ferragamo bags, alongside Paloma Elsesser and her brother Sage, the band Bar Italia, Joan Chen with her daughter Audrey Hui, and acting coach Nancy Banks with her son, actor Benny Buckley.

V spoke with the sisters about the shoot and about how three siblings keep both a band and a friendship running smoothly.

V: Ferragamo built Holiday 2026 around “The Joy of Loving,” with each cast member bringing someone they love into the story. What made the three of you want to take part together?

THE WOMACK SISTERS: We really do live and breathe togetherness as a family, as sisters, we made the choice early on to build life around our bond. It’s our foundation, and we believe wholeheartedly that we wouldn’t be here if not for our sisterhood. Anything is possible together, and every day we find joy in loving each other.

V: What was the shoot itself like, with Miyako Bellizzi styling and Ilya Lipkin behind the camera? Any moment from the day that stuck with you?

THE WOMACK SISTERS: It was such a pleasure, and an honor!! Creative genius and professionalism—it was on another level. We are still beaming with joy, it was a dream come true to be a part of something so special.

Miyako Bellizzi has such a masterful eye, the perfect colors were selected to make the look pop, the clothes were gorgeous and fit us so beautifully, and everything looked amazing! It was a great experience.

Ilya Lipkin is truly brilliant!! The shoot was wonderful! The creative direction, amazing personality, are such an enjoyable experience. He really captured our best and made us look and feel gorgeous!!

V: You could each have pursued this solo. What keeps you choosing to do it as three?

THE WOMACK SISTERS: We are each other’s emotional support and encouragement, we have an honesty that is mutually respected, and we understand one another’s creative expression. We know each other very well and support one another when things get overwhelming. We share the weight and responsibilities and carry the load together.

V: How do you work through creative disagreements without it touching the sisterhood underneath?

THE WOMACK SISTERS: We think similarly, so it’s not often that we do, but all siblings bicker and argue from time to time. Growing up being 3 of 7 siblings, we have mastered the art of debate. But we make our points and explain our feelings on the matter first to try to bring everyone into agreement, or we agree to settle on a compromise.

V: What do people most often get wrong about sisters who also work together?

THE WOMACK SISTERS: Probably that it’s more turbulent than working with people you’re not related to. I guess some people believe it’s challenging to work with family because boundaries and professionalism may not be easily maintained in a business setting. But we are good friends also, so we have always worked on self-improvement and hold ourselves accountable. Growing with one another, to improve understanding and boundaries, as we grow in life, most importantly, respect is required to have a lifelong friendship.
