Kicking off fashion week on February 11, Collina Strada’s Fall/Winter 2026 show staged a retreat from the outside world. Titled “The World Is a Vampire,” the collection imagined clothing as a sanctuary – soft layers, raised collars, and translucent fabrics – protecting from the harsh exterior surrounding us. Creatively directed by Hillary Taymour, the show was joined by JT, Tove Lo, Icona Pop, Tommy Dorfman, Ella Emhoff, Abbey Lee, Waris Ahluwalia, and Molly and Reese Blutstein.

The opening look, the Lestat Dress, featured deadstock lace and Melon Deadstock Crepe de Chine. It was followed by the Chiffon Plume gown in mauve and washed meadow tones. Plaids, satin slips, fleece hoodies, and organza layers built a wardrobe meant for hiding out: Valerian shawls and muffs, scrunched button-ups, recycled suiting, and chocolate satin dresses that felt cocoon-like.

By the final sequence of velvet and lace gowns, the mood darkened into something nocturnal. The show closed where it began: the Lestat gown returned, now in black chiffon instead of white, completing the collection’s fade from light into shadow.
