Tiffany & Co. Gives Their “HardWear” Line a New Hue

Smooth turquoise beads and lustrous Akoya pearls meet sculptural gold links across nine new necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and pendants

Tiffany & Co. introduces a new palette to its HardWear collection, pairing turquoise and Akoya pearls with the line’s signature 18-karat gold links. Spanning nine pieces, including necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and pendants, the additions bring vivid color and softer silhouettes to the collection’s sculptural forms.

Inspired by an archival lapis lazuli and pearl necklace once worn by Bunny Mellon, Tiffany & Co.’s Chief Artistic Officer Nathalie Verdeille brings the pairing to HardWear’s signature links. Andy Warhol’s saturated palettes also influence the designs, which Verdeille compares to pointillism, with each stone creating a dot of color that shifts as the wearer moves.

At the center of the collection is a suite comprising a bold necklace and matching drop earrings, with turquoise beads and pearls alternating along the gold links. The 34-inch convertible necklace features two built-in clasps, allowing it to be worn long, doubled around the neck, or shortened and paired with a bracelet.

Pyramid-shaped gold domes secure each stone, adding an angular contrast to the rounded beads and HardWear’s signature U-shaped links. The collection takes inspiration from a 1962 Tiffany design.

The new pieces also build on the brand’s longstanding use of turquoise, with stones sourced from the United States and Mexico and matched by shade. They will be available this month on Tiffany.com and in Tiffany & Co. stores worldwide.
