Tiffany’s Bird Takes Flight Again

Tiffany & Co. reimagines Jean Schlumberger’s Bird on a Rock, transforming a storied motif into sculptural new designs that fuse heritage with modernity
Tiffany & Co. has always had iconic designs, but few embody its legacy quite like Jean Schlumberger’s Bird on a Rock. First imagined as a brooch, perched atop an oversized gemstone, the motif has been at the heart of Tiffany, a symbol of wit and beauty. Now, the collection is redesigned for a new generation, extending the bird’s flight.

Of course, at the heart of the collection is the wing motif. The pieces are sleek and sculptural, poetically interpreting the plunge of a bird with layered diamonds and metals. Although the design has history, the pieces feel modern, even architectural. Silhouettes are designed to be stacked, like feathers, creating fluid movement.

The pieces highlight Tiffany’s relationship with colored stones—one devoted to tanzanite, which the House introduced in 1968. Turquoise is also featured, with both stones grounding the collection in heritage while still striving for innovation. The collection includes necklaces, earrings that can be worn in four ways, bracelets, and rings. There’s something for everyone.

Abby Champion stars in the campaign, while showing pieces from Tiffany’s Sixteen Stone collection, weaving together past and present. It’s Tiffany at its best: turning history into modernity, craft into poetry, and jewelry into something more.
