Timberland Honors Greats Through Its “Advice of an Icon” FW25 Campaign
Three legendary creatives are highlighted for their resilience and style

Since its incarnation fifty years ago, Timberland has established itself as an iconic streetwear brand known—in particular— for their beloved boots. But the boots have taken on meaning of their own becoming an indicator of strength, community and style. Aligned with this vision, Timberland has highlighted three creatives known for their devotion to artistry in their FW25 global campaign, “Advice of an Icon.”
The campaign features director Spike Lee, producer Skepta and actress Kiko Mizuhara—but each of the artists have worn various hats attaching multiple creative titles to their names. The campaign trio was chosen to exemplify the rewards found through taking innovative approaches, as well as their willingness to take risks.

In terms of artistic advice, Lee shares, “You have to have a work ethic. You gotta put the work in. You can’t cheat that, if you’re cheating, you’re cheating yourself.”
As a reflection on resilience, Skepta says that “there was never another option for me apart from success. Anyone who’s built something will tell you—you need blind faith, even when the outcome isn’t clear.”
Reflecting a similar determination, Mizuhara says, “I kept going. I kept doing what I liked. Sometimes there were challenges, and I failed. It’s because I stayed true to who I am. That’s why I’m here. And I will never apologize for who I am.”

The campaign captures the saturated color palates associated with the photographer and director of the project, Gabriel Moses. Known for his visual storytelling, Moses’s use of light and shadow accentuate the fabrics adorning the campaign’s three muses, shown through Skepta’s black leather jacket and the waterproof leather of the classic Timberland boots featured on each model.
