For Tod’s, it’s all in the details.
On January 14th, Tod’s unveiled their men’s fall/winter 2024 collection with an emphasis on spotlighting their ‘PASHMY project.’ The initiative centers on their “research for the most exclusive and precious materials and the craftsmanship know-how of companies which represent the Italian quality.” Highlighting their project, some of Tod’s precious materials are seen in a long-fur or crocodile Bubble Gommino. Tod’s treasured W.G. boot is redefined within the collection, influenced by the ‘aviator’ world by incorporating suede with sheepskin lining. The colors of the collection embody a range of neutrals, infused with splashes of color.
From leather flight jackets to high-waisted trousers, the lineup is injected with the essence of 1930s casual menswear attire. However, this collection is far from being anchored in the past, as each garment carries contemporary details, breathing new life into classic silhouettes. A beige industrial-style jacket is transformed with the addition of a closed leather collar, the same way the cable knit sweater livened up with a color-blocked T.
While stepping on familiar ground, Tod’s latest release intricately weaved details that transform the garments into closet staples. The subtle flares elevate the pieces, ensuring they not only hold a classic allure but also exude a distinct coolness.
