Tom of Finland X Hiro Clark Collaboration
What happens in the darkroom, stays in the darkroom
Tom of Finland and Hiro Clark have teamed up for an all-black capsule collection titled Darkroom. The men’s T-shirt brand released a collection of tees, sweats, and socks with graphics in collaboration with Tom of Finland, a foundation dedicated to protecting and promoting the erotic arts.
Artist Touko Laaksonen, who went by the street name Tom of Finland, began drawing erotic art in 1957 and found success in the art world by the early 70s. Working with celebrities like Etienne and Robert Mapplethorpe, his art was revolutionary for the gay community.
The foundation was established in 1984 and has continued to educate the public on the cultural impact of erotic art and promote healthier conversations about sexuality. Since its establishment, the foundation had collaborated with brands such as Diesel, JW Anderson, and Carne Bollente.
The collection will include tees and tank tops with text like CRUISING, DADDY, SIR, and SALUTE on them as well as a graphic of a young man for their HELLO HANDSOME tee. The collection is available now at Hiroclark.com.
