The latest from Tommy Hilfiger’s signature fusion of fashion, sport, and entertainment is on the heels of the release of “F1® The Movie.” Fronted by breakout star and brand ambassador Damson Idris, the APXGP Collection mirrors his meteoric ascent—embodying the bold ambition and cool confidence that has fueled his rise.

The collection also reflects the rising influence of Formula 1™ beyond the track, showcasing how drivers can step out of the racecar and be style icons in their own individual way, defining the motifs and silhouettes of the “motorcore” aesthetic.

“Since I was a kid peeking through the fences at Watkins Glen racetrack, Formula 1™ has been legendary to me,” Tommy Hilfiger said in an official statement. A devoted fan since childhood, the American designer was drawn to the adrenaline of the racetrack, the undeniable style of the uniforms, and the timeless imagery that defines the sport.

“As F1® has opened its doors to new worlds like entertainment and fashion, the sport has become a cultural phenomenon. Building on almost 40 years of infusing the colors, logos and spirit of motorsport into our collections, we’re thrilled to join Hollywood at the racetrack by partnering with F1® The Movie. This film captures the cultural shift, setting a benchmark in what we call ‘fashiontainment’, where the future is being shaped. It’s a bold new chapter, and we’re setting the pace for what comes next.”

An ode to how F1 brings countries together to compete and embrace the love of racing, the collection reflects a variety of pieces fit for any fan of racing: mechanic-inspired shirts, a vegan leather moto jacket elevated in a bomber jacket silhouette, and a chic knit polo that brings Tommy Hilfiger’s signature graceful touch to racing-wear. One of the standout pieces, a red quilted jacket, was designed after the exact silhouette worn by Idris’ character in the movie.

Additionally, the Tommy Hilfiger brand plays a small role in “F1® The Movie” — as they are the official fashion sponsor of the film’s fictional APXGP Team, led by drivers Joshua Pearce (played by Damson Idris) and Sonny Hayes (played by Brad Pitt).

The APXGP Collection will be available on tommy.com, in Tommy Hilfiger stores worldwide and through select wholesale partners beginning on June 3, 2025.

Apple Original Films’ F1® The Movie will be distributed in theaters around the world and in IMAX® by Warner Bros. Pictures in North America on June 27, 2025, and internationally beginning June 25, 2025.
