Travis Barker: Rock Icon, Father and Now…Creative Director?

Barker teams up with Canadian accessories brand Clocks + Colours to unveil the partnership’s debut jewelry capsule.

Blink-182 drummer and music icon Travis Barker is no stranger to the aesthetics of punk and rock n’ culture. Now, following his resurgence into the music industry in recent years, Barker has his sights on a new venture: the world of men’s fashion. Barker has now joined contemporary accessories brand Clocks + Colours as a creative director, working alongside the brand’s founder Shane Vitaly Foran to design a series of collections, each paying homage to Clocks + Colours’ punk rock roots, while adding that signature Barker twist.

From the start of the brand nine years ago, Foran knew he wanted to collaborate with the rock legend. “Growing up in a small town as a skate punk meant Travis Barker was a hero not just to me, but seemingly to my entire generation as well,” said Foran. “His zero-fucks-given attitude had a massive influence on me, and it’s hard to imagine that Clocks + Colours would even exist if it weren’t for him.”

The pair’s first collaboration will offer a variety of sterling silver accessories, adorned with sustainably lab-grown diamonds, with prices ranging from $295 to $1,800 USD. With names like rings “Death Punch” and the “Guardian” and necklaces such as the “Boneyard” and the “Fracture” – the most expensive of the pieces – Barker’s gritty, rock n’ roll aesthetics were undeniably influential in the creation of the collection.

“I wanted to create necessities, pieces that didn’t exist, essentials that I would wear daily. I am really proud of everything in this collection that I created for Clocks + Colours,” said Barker.

The partnership will span over the next two years with the first collection dropping Dec. 8. It will be available online on the Clocks + Colours website and at their new flagship location in Toronto.
