Travis Scott Celebrates Astroworld’s 2-Year Anniversary
Two years and many chart-topping singles later.
Two years ago, in August of 2018, Travis Scott has taken the music world by storm with the release of Astroworld, his third studio album. The 17-track LP sports guest appearances from Quavo, Takeoff, Don Toliver, Gunna, Kid Cudi, Nav, Sheck Wes, 21 Savage, The Weeknd, Swae Lee and more, making for a truly chart-topping project.
With 2020 being marked by restrictions on gatherings and social distancing rules being imposed worldwide, the hip-hop artist has headlined “Fortnite” — the competitive video game-turned-brand platform — earlier this year, in lieu of the originally scheduled Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Needless to say, this is the coronavirus era of music events.
Since releasing ‘Astroworld,’ the artist has released singles with various other artists, including Kanye West’s track, ‘Wash Us In The Blood‘ released earlier this summer. He has also worked with Rosalía on ‘TKN’, Kid Cudi on ‘The Scotts‘, Young Thug with ‘Out West‘ and Migos on ‘Give No Fxk‘. Just this past week, the artist has also launched a line of pandemic-inspired safety tools under his Cactus Jack label.
