Travis Scott Releases New Single and Music Video for “Franchise” Featuring Young Thug and MIA
The single is Scott’s first major release since April
Travis Scott just dropped a new single called Franchise. The track is an ode to luxury and even namedrops several brands like Nike and Sprite. The song features rappers Young Thug and M.I.A. The single came with visual art, which was created by visual artist George Condo.
The track is Scott’s first since his last release in April, The Scotts featuring Kid Cudi, which was a number one hit in the country. The single was released with a music video, which premiered in several IMAX theatres across the country today ahead of Christopher Nolan’s Tenet. Scott even soundtracks the movie with one of his songs, The Plan.
The video, directed by Scott and White Trash Tyler, was shot in both the States and the UK, where M.I.A. is based. The video features Scott and Young Thug indulging in many of the activities of the elite, like playing golf, playing poker, and driving around in fancy cars. The video was shot on location at Michael Jordan’s Chicago area mansion. M.I.A.’s part was shot in the UK, featuring her in expansive landscapes surrounded by hordes of sheep.
The music video’s release comes with official lyric and visualizer videos as well. The videos make reference to Scott’s recent partnership with McDonalds, a play on the title of the song.
