TRAVIS SCOTT Inks New Production Partnership with Film Distribution Giant A24

The famed rapper is taking his venture Cactus Jack Films to new heights with a new A24 production partnership.

Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Films is about to receive a massive upgrade. In a new production partnership with the inimitably-successful prestige film distributor A24, Scott and Cactus Jack will produce brand new film projects. Scott unveiled the partnership in an Instagram post last Monday by sharing a photo of the script for his first special project: an accompaniment to his newest album release.

“Life is a movie.

So is this album

@cactusjack and @a24 set out to bring amazing content for the future . Thru film and media. Starting with this???????????”

The name of the script, which touts the famed A24 logo on its top right-hand corner, was partially obscured on the post. A rep for Scott later revealed to Variety that the project is titled UTOPIA, which bears the same name as Scott’s upcoming album. The special project is rumored to be released in accordance with the new album as well.

The move is a huge win for Scott, who has become a jack of all trades with numerous cross-media business ventures under his belt thus far. The deal comes off the heels of Scott’s steady stream success with multimedia production and promotion through Cactus Jack. From his 2018 Houston, Texas music festival Astroworld, inspired by his album of the same name, to the production of his documentary film Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly, and “Travis Scott Meal” collaboration with McDonald’s last year, Travis Scott is no stranger to ambitious, multimedia projects that push the boundaries of his music-making.

This partnership with A24 will no doubt be a massive success for Scott, given A24’s track record. The prestigious indie film distributor has received 25 Academy Award nominations thus far, with films like Moonlight, Uncut Gems, Minari, and The Green Knight under their recent releases. They’ve also co-produced projects with rappers before, most notably in their collaboration with Drake on HBO’s Euphoria

Scott’s partnership with A24 is shaping up to be an exciting new step for both parties involved. While there’s still no official release date for all of their new content, you can rest assured with the knowledge that a ton of new projects seem to be in the works.
