Troye Sivan has finally released his much-awaited and anticipated single, “Rush”, having been teased by the artist on social media for over a month generating buzz among his fans and forthcoming listeners. The Australian pop sensation has also dropped accompanying visuals in a music video for the sensually driven heavy dance-pop track, aligning with Sivan’s vision of conveying the ‘Rush’ of a tense and passionate connection made on the dance floor that makes its way outside of it, all apart of a journey filled with the liberating feelings of confident and independence. The music video further extends the narrative with visuals and choreography in celebration of queer love and joy, sensuality, and community all expressed on the dance floor, all brought to life by Sivan’s creative director Gordon von Steiner, whose work is to be expected in the upcoming studio album, and choreographer Sergio Reis.
“Rush” is a sneak peek of what’s to come in Sivan’s third studio album, Something To Give Each Other, set to release this coming fall by Capitol Records on October 13th and now available to pre-order along with merchandise & fan packs on streaming services and in other formats (vinyl, CD, digital, and cassette).
The multi-talented musician has been on the radar recently for his featured campaigns for Cartier, YSL Beauty, Calvin Klein, and Ivy Park while also juggling the release of his role in HBO’s “The Idol” from The Weeknd and Sam Levinson alongside costars Lily-Rose Depp, Abel Tesfaye, and Jennie of BLACKPINK and expected to launch another project of his own aside from music, an independent luxury lifestyle collection of fragrances amongst other objects, titled “Tsu Lange Yor”.
