If artists are thinking of claiming 2018 as their year, they'll have to steal it from Troye Sivan. The 22-year-old is on fire in January, first being announced as the new face of Valentino menswear, then releasing his latest hit single "My My My!" and announcing he will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on the 20th. And now, he's delivering another new song.

"The Good Side," the second offering from Sivan's upcoming sophomore album, arrives today (Jan. 18) with its own identity. Where "My My My!" pulsated from beginning to end, "The Good Side" softly meanders through a harp and acoustic backdrop. "I got the good side of life / Traveled the universe twice / So many thoughts I wanted to share / But I didn’t call because it wouldn’t be fair," Sivan sings softly. He apologizes for getting "the good side" of things in an apparent break-up.

Correlating with the release, Sivan will chat with Beats 1 radio host Zane Lowe at today at noon PST. He teased the appearance and song by tweeting "the song's (sic) a special one to me." Sivan also spoke candidly with Lowe following the release of "My My My!," telling the host, "I don't think I'd written a happy song until I started writing this album."

It seemed with "My My My!" that Sivan couldn't stop the happiness from flooding out of him, which is good news for everybody, but "The Good Side" offers a counterbalance and shows the growing pop star's range. Listen below.
