UGG Celebrates Women’s History Month by Partnering with International Non-Profit Kiva

Ugg partners with international non-profit Kiva and Kimberly Drew for Women’s History Month.

As March honors Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, Ugg kicks off this month’s celebrations by announcing its partnership with International Non-Profit Kiva. This partnership will include a $25,000 donation to Kiva on behalf of Kimberly Drew, Art Curator, and Author as well as donating $20 for each purchased pair of Scrunchita slides during the month of March starting from March 8th.

Inclusivity is at the forefront of Ugg’s mission, hence their decision to partner with an organization that envisions a financially inclusive world. Kiva is an international microloan non-profit organization that accelerates financial inclusion by providing microloans to women-led small businesses. The impact that a loan can have on one woman’s life and the health of their community is significant.

Alongside this partnership, Ugg has collaborated with creative Kimberly Drew to choose a group of five women-owned small businesses to invest in through the Kiva platform and to spread awareness on a few of the main issues women face when running their businesses. Drew has previously collaborated with Ugg by curating art pieces for the brand’s Feel House retail pop-up event last October.

This is not the first year the brand has announced its support for International Women’s Day, and it certainly won’t be the last. Ugg is a leading supporter of Women’s rights having announced meaningful partnerships that empower and uplift women for multiple years in a row. For instance, last year they debuted their campaign with Planned Parenthood and their #PoweredByHer series, celebrating and empowering women.
