In their first-ever collaboration, global apparel retailer UNIQLO has teamed up with MARNI to produce a long-awaited collection that embraces the spirits of both brands. The collection is filled with color, bold prints and playfulness, on par with MARNI’s youthful aesthetic, and the technical and staple designs of UNIQLO. It is a collaboration that is described as fresh, new and that can be enjoyed and worn by everyone for everyday wear. 

“We are proud of how this collaboration with MARNI has produced a collection for a new era and a new season that allows everyone to experience the joy of wearing clothes.,” said Yukihiro Katsuta, Fast Retailing Group Senior Executive Officer and Head of R&D for UNIQLO, in a press statement. “The UNIQLO philosophy of clothing that is simple, high quality, functional, and ingenious in detail, imbued with MARNI’s creative vitality, has produced bold and innovative LifeWear. I am extremely pleased that we are able to offer this essential LifeWear collection that accentuates individual character and feelings in a positive way.”

Building on the theme of “universality,” the color palette of the collection sticks with the bright colors found in MARNI’s previous collections, but uses warm graphics exclusive to the collection that play on proportions. It is unlike the monochromes and patterns often seen in UNIQLO stores, providing a fun twist to classic relaxed silhouettes and balloon volume staples. These styles can be enjoyed by men and women, creating a unisex bridge between both lines. Classic UNIQLO designs, including the BLOCKTECH coat and the Balloon Skirt, will have the brand’s typical effortless silhouettes, but will feature a volume-enhancing look that are distinctive to MARNI. The lineup of prints, solid colors and tailored designs are all meant to coordinate with one another to provide unlimited and effortless possibilities for customers.

The UNIQLO x MARNI SS22 is available in a wide range of men’s and women’s sizing, with price ranges between $12.90 to $179.90. Shop the collection in select UNIQLO stores and online on their website.
