Uniqlo Ushers in A Sense of Ease with New Spring/Summer Collection

The Japanese retailer drops their new Uniqlo U collection for Spring/Summer 2023, designed by Christophe Lemaire.

If you work in an office environment or have ever voiced the need for a new basic turtleneck, you most likely have been urged to visit a Uniqlo store. UNIQLO has captured the hearts of consumers through their high-quality and moderately priced basics, and the brand’s new Spring/Summer 23 collection is no exception.

The UNIQLO U collection is crafted by a team of designers handpicked by the Artistic Director of the UNIQLO Paris R&D Center, Christophe Lemaire. Lemaire, along with his team curated this new collection, available on February 9th, consisting of womenswear, menswear, and accessories.

According to the brand, the new collection offers a “modern, timeless modular wardrobe centered on clothes that make life easier” – hence the collection name, A Sense of Ease. The pieces are made of a combination of matte cotton and the brand’s signature AIRism cotton to create comfortable yet efficient clothing for everyday wear.

Keeping in line with their neutral color palette, the new collection offers pieces in the classics: beige, cream, off-white, while also sprinkling in some splashes of green, pink, orange, purple, and yellow.

In men’s and womenswear, shoppers will find carefully tailored and versatile basics from shirts to pants to trench coats. Additionally, classic T-shirts and tank tops will be offered, along with the fan-favorite drawstring shoulder bag.

UNIQLO is not straying from their moderate pricing method with this new collection, with items starting at $14.90 and capping off at $159.90. The UNIQLO U Spring/Summer 23 collection will be available in-store and on the brand’s website.
