V Exclusive: Dior Makeup’s Peter Philips and Jordan Robson Present “Glitter”

The House of Dior releases an artistic collaboration with Peter Philips, Creative & Image Director of Dior Makeup, and Choreographer Jordan Robson.

The holidays just got glitzier thanks to the House of Dior, who released an artistic collaboration with Peter Philips, Creative & Image Director of Dior Makeup, and choreographer Jordan Robson. The result is an short film that acts as an ode to the wonders of science fiction and the art of movement, Glitter takes us on a galactic trip where the art of body shines brightly.

The concept of the video came to Jordan Robson while traveling. He had a vision of a dancer completely covered in glitter, performing a cabaret-like dance. The inspiration for the piece was something that stuck with Philips when first approached by Robson for a collaboration. “When Jordan talked to me about a project he wanted to do, I was sold from the moment he showed me an iconic picture by Guy Bourdin of two people covered from head to toe in tiny black cristals. I’ve been wanting to do a video project with glitter and movement for a while and this concept came in perfect timing.” Once Philips was on board, the idea came to fruition with the help of French duo directors, Studio L’Etiquette and set to the musical sounds of Christophe, the transcendent French artist.

As for the focus of the film, Hajiba Fahmy was cast to help bring the half star-half woman hybrid to life, as the glittered covered dancer (The French-Morrocan talent previously worked with Beyonce, on her Coachella performance early this year).  With the wheels in motion, the group was able to capture the cosmic dream that Philips and Robson have longed for. “By bringing together Jordan, Studio L’Etiquette and Hajiba Fahmy magic was created. A wonderful synergy between light, darkness, movement, music and the magic of sparkles resulted in this mesmerizing video that, for a moment, takes you on a voyage of beauty and dream.”
